I'm a white jewish trans ftm artist from Brussels in Belgium, I'm 28, my name is Lou!
I try my best to express myself. I crossed drawings, writings and animations on my road and felt seen. That was the departure of my artistic journey.
I was born rich in the brusseler bourgoisie from a white, christian and belgian dad who was abusive and violent, at the age of 8 my parents broke up and i escaped little by little this life with my mother by my side. My teenager life and young adult age were chaotics with dark thoughts but i always had a place to call home even if i was scared to go there, it's a privilege to have food, money, a bed and access to scolarity. My cultural bagage is big due to my house full of theorical books, pictures and illustrations. Pets, plants and trickets.
Born female, teach to be a perfect woman for man at my early age, discover my lesbianism and trans identity at 13, had the chance to explore myself with some queer peeps at 14years but locked by a man at 15 and start 10 years in a psychic prison with violence legitimate by society, my environnement and my own isolation. At 25 years old i was free of man and restarted art school, it was a really good decision, i make myself some friends and it was all i wanted. Even if i'm very critical about the art community i try to see the good sides and how to manage to stay radical as who i am.
I guess i can say now that i'm happy and well surrounded. I hope to break my chains and be a good person. My purpose in life is to be nice, in joy and powerful. Love is in what i believe.
